Susan Estomin is commendable in her expertise with design and space planning. We needed to add a bath and a den to our existing home, but we didn't want to add a second floor or add much more square footage. She was able to visualize a floor plan that suited our needs. Susan was willing to work with all our family members to make sure everyone's “wishes” were met! Her experience in home decorating and coordinating finishes are assets to your designing needs.

I've recently had a wonderful experience working with my interior designer, Susan Estomin Chappelear, ASID. She is new to this area but not new to design, in fact she is professionally most accomplished. My husband Ron & I have lived in Marsh Landing for ten years. We love our home, furnishings and personal treasures but I felt like I needed a little help with a few areas. I wasn't exactly sure where to start. Susan is a neighbor and I loved what she has done with her own home so I decided to give her a call. It was the best thing I've done to update my home. Susan took a look around, moved a few pieces of furniture, rearranged my own items (many of which were tucked away) and in general helped me create a new look that was both fresh and interesting. The furniture on my landing for example was always somewhat awkward and I could never seem to get it to feel just right. Susan was able to create a lovely little conversation area (using my own furniture) that we now use quite often. In other rooms she simply moved a piece or two; shifted things a bit; added this or that and the results were amazing. Built-in shelves throughout my home were starting to look cluttered, but Susan went to work on those too and now they look fantastic! She listened carefully to my needs and desires and that was truly reflected in her work. She created for me just what I was wanting and without being overbearing in anyway; in fact, just the opposite. For me, this is an essential characteristic for an interior designer. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Susan. Her creativity has truly enhanced my home. I highly recommend using her services.

Susan has managed to meet every obstacle I have thrown at her in regards to my home head on and with absolutely marvelous results. Her ability to listen, observe and understand what I needed, the feel and how it would work within my lifestyle coupled with her knowledge of interior design and finishes was phenomenal. Loving my home, yet struggling with how to make better use of the space was a real challenge for me, coupled with the fact that I cherish everything I have and was not willing to part with anything, compounded the situation. I felt like so much of my home was not being used, yet I was in need of certain areas, such as a library/office and a larger dining area.  Susan listened as I explained to her exactly what I was searching for to make my home complete and came up with the most spectacular plan, meeting all of my needs and exceeding my expectations. She created walls, halls and doorways that I would never have imagined. Susan designed very precise diagrams and worked directly with the contractor to insure everyone understood exactly what to do and how to go about getting the result she was after. She is very hands on, somewhat of a perfectionist, firm yet friendly, with everyone involved in the project. It was amazing to watch as my home was transformed while using my existing furniture and accessories. I have a marvelous library/office that I use daily and my dining area is awesome!  I am so delighted with Susan's keen since of style, fresh ideas and her ability to understand my lifestyle and what I was wanting accomplished, we have since started yet another project, redesigning my kitchen, which has been great fun and I cannot wait to see the end results! Working with Susan Estomin is a real pleasure and I would highly recommend her.
